Symmetra SYMSTRF - Questions for the pros

Hello All-

I recently aquired a Symmetra SYMSTRF full height power array for our small server room. It is used, but I hope still serviceable. When you only pay $500 bucks for a data center UPS you can't argue too much. : )
The unit is over 10 years old, but looks like it was built to last. ; )

- My server room has little to no cooling, we pull ambient floor cool air thru a secure air/filter grate in the server room door. With all of the power supplies, fans and batteries in this beast, it certainly looks like it will generate lots of heat (and noise, too I'm sure). The server room is approx 960 cubic ft.- not very large. The unit will goto 16KVa but only has 3 power supplies and 3 battery modules so I assume we are at 12 KVa right now. What kind of BTU/heat output should I expect from this UPS? I will not be feeding in A/C to the room until late spring/early summer as we have central heating/Cooling and I cannot afford to pump any more heat into an already warm room.

- This Symmetra SYMSTRF has no PDU panel on the back (no external plugs, breakers) as it was originally hard wired in and out. We want our electrician to hard wire it in, and give us a couple of cabled feeds out the back so we can send the output to our rack PDU and server PDU. I suppose he could install some breakers as well (makes sense really) instead of us beating our heads against the wall trying to find the original PDU backplate, which is both hard to find and stupid expensive right now. I do have the Symmetra user manual and looked over the wiring hookups and will provide it to our installer as well. I have already cleaned, re-assembled and blown out the unit with compressed air. All battery modules have been replaced with geniune APC modules.

We do not have alot of server room hardware, but every little bit adds up. 2-3 servers, LTO tape backup, NAS and several GB switches I hope the runtime of this unit will be decent considering it will not be fully loaded.

Any feedback greatly appreciated.

You could private message us the SYMSTRF serial number found on the font bottom level so we can determine if this UPS has any service history.
