Symmetra PX w/ AP9631 stale measurements
We have a Symmetra PX 40 unit at one of our facilities with an old, but still functional, network card installed. We went to upgrade that card to an AP9631, which worked fine except for one strange problem: the current / power measurements are read once at NMC2 startup and are never updated again. The stale values are reported over SNMP and on the Web interface, other access methods were not tested. The input / output voltages update continually as expected. NMC2 card firmware was updated to latest (6.5.x) to no effect.
Swapping the old card back in yielded correctly updating voltages and currents, so it's unlikely to be a UPS hardware problem. Is this a known issue, and is there a workaround?
