I've replaced the battery of this UPS and still showing as old and not as new, i've calle the call center and told me, that by updating the software it shoud be fix the problem, but the UPS still recognzing the replacement battery as old and not as new, is there any other way to fix this problem, a tecnician say that by a some kind of hexadecimal code, you can erase the history , but sounds a little complicate is there any easy way and i will appreciate if you have pictures....

thats what i called a quick answer, thanks a lot and in fact that 's what customer did. we already notified about this inconvenient at the begginning i though that the whole module was replaced but like you said it was just the internal batteries

Hello Allandin,
If I understand correctly, you opened the SYBT5 module and replaced the 10 12v 9Ahr batteries inside. If so, this is unsupported and not possible as you have seen.
The internal components of any Symmetra module are not user-serviceable. When a Symmetra LX marks a SYBT5 as bad, the customer must simply purchase a new SYBT5 module -- not the internal 12v batteries.
It will not be possible to "reset" the battery so that the UPS allows it to operate without an alarm.
Please simply purchase new complete modules when the UPS marks them as failed. There are no repair options beyond the module-level on Symmetra systems.
