Our Symmetra 16KVA has an XR frame with 12 SYBATT modules but now it only reports the main frame's batteries.
We pulled out old batteries and inserted newer ones, leaved only new ones and it was the same situation.
Before this it was reporting randomly NUMBER OF BATTERIES decreased/increased messages.
We were thinking that maybe the problem is in the SYCC communication Card. Is this card Hot Swappable?
Can we change it without turning off the UPS?
We will appreciate any help

Hello Angela, First of all thank you a lot for your answer, it has been very helpful, in fact with your advise we have already fix the problem.
1. The XR frame display was off.
For some reason the anderson connector was loose, maybe the air cooling mainteinance men moved the frame.
At first it was only a false contact and we got erratic messages like bad batteries, high temp. on them etc.
2. We have had already tested the "phone cable" in another working Symmetra.
Are 885-6625/1 and 885-6625/5 Comm Cards interchangeable? we got a spare one of the first.
3.is No need now. is it?
4.In the status menu it is displayed:
Bat. voltage: 130.6 volts
Bat. Cappacity :100%
Run Time: 1Hr. 56 min
!4 Batts, 0 Bad

It sounds like you just have different revisions of the phone cable. As long as they have the same main part number, should be the same cable.
I would just keep an eye on the battery voltage. It says 130.6V now and ultimately should get to 136-138V. Check it in 24 hours to ensure it has climbed now that the XR frame is charging.
Glad you got it working.

Yes, any communication cards on this UPS and the XR Frames are hot swappable. The only thing you'll loose is temporary monitoring of the respective device in some sense.

Hi Angela,
Our Syymmetra continues working fine.
The battery voltage was bellow 136V because a bad battery module, today it reported high temperature we taked it out and now we have 136.7 volts reported on the powerview status menu.
The part numbers I told you before arent phone cables but Communication Card ones, those are what we need to know if are hot swappable and also if we can interchange them.
Thank you again,
Jose
