Strange readings on my Symmetra LX 16 KVA unit yesterday

Hello,
I got some strange readings on my Symmetra LX 16 KVA unit yesterday. (Event log)
1) I got an APC InfraStruXure Manager reported an exceptions summary notification at 3/22/2009 @ 4:00:04 PM, it was reporting One or more faulty batteries exist, unit on bypass, and internal temp violation.

2) On 3/22/2009 @ 6:29:24 PM, the APC InfraStruXure Manager reported Faulty batteries no longer exist, No longer violates the Internal battery temperature threshold, and the UPS no longer on bypass in response to a hardware fault.

3) What would cause the above false entries? Can anything be done to prevent this?
(I have attached a copy of the log in MS Word format)
Thanks

Hi Mark

From your reported error logs, it seems that at least one battery was in the process of overheating. You may want to replace any other batteries of the same age, since if one battery has reached end-of-life, then it is very likely that another battery will soon do the same thing.

Also, installing a brand new battery in a system with low capacity/low performance old batteries will only diminish the new battery's useful life.

can you let us know what firmware is on the network management card inside the symmetra LX (this can be found by accessing the device and going to the administration->General->About menu)?

also, what version of ISX manager are you using (found in the Help->About menu in ISX manager)?

lastly, do these events show up in the network management card log of the Symmetra LX or did you just get emails about them? (it may be helpful to copy and paste this actual log to us as well)

I'm sure I have a bad battery. The log shows bad battery, then the device drops off line, then recharges, dorps it's temp, then is good for a short period of time until it alerts as bad again.
I've attached a copy of my error log proving my point. A replacement battery is on order now, I can close this thread.
Thank you for your assistance.
