Why Smart UPS 1500 reported power failure?

I have 3 Smart-UPS 1500 units, each with two servers connected to them. All 3 of these UPS units are connected to the same wall socket outlet. I just replaced one of these Smart-UPS 1500 units because it flaked out, and when I came in this morning I had an email from the APC Agent telling me that Saturday morning there was a Power Failure and then another saying Power Restored. In the logs it tells me there was a 2 second power outage. However, the other two APC agents, both of which are in the same wall socket, do not report a power outage on Saturday.

What would cause this? Everything seems to be running just fine right now, but I'm quite curious as to why it would report a power failure.

Thanks.

The power settings for all the UPS units are the same:

High Transfer Voltage: 127
Low Transfer Voltage: 106
Sensitivity: High
Nominal Output Voltage: 120
Audible Warning: On Battery

These are all plugged into a surge suppressor connected wall socket. Is it possible dirty power can run through just one socket? Again, everything is working just fine, but I am curious. Thanks.

Hi:

Can you check the sensitivity settings of these UPS's and see if they differ at all? If there is any difference in this setting, one UPS may be a little bit more picky about the input power and may have seen a small amount of distortion on the power as dirty input power, and therefore went to battery. You can check this through PowerChute, a Network Management Card, or via the LED on the back (almost off for low, dim for medium, bright for high).

Additionally, if you do have a network management card or PowerChute, you may be able to check the data logs to see what you see for the input power at that time.

Thanks
