Hi all
I have just joined here, so if this is in the wrong place accept my apologies.
We have a HyperV server running Server2016 with 3 Virtual servers - DC, File / Print and a SQL. The HyperV is solid and works well, but we have been suffering a few power failures recently - weather related.
We have a APC Smart-UPS C1500 as the UPS protection, it shuts the server safely when power is lost, but I cannot configure it to restart the server when power is returned. We have PowerChute Business Edition running on the HyperV with a USB cable connecting the server to the UPS
Can anyone advise if it is possible for this UPS to restart the server when it detects mains electricity AND the batteries have enough charge to protect the server is power fails.
Many thanks
Stuart

Hi,
The default setting for the PowerChute Agent is to power on the outlet groups when AC is restored. From the outlet sequencing page you should see Automatically turn on all the outlet groups when AC utility power returns is checked.
If you want to set a delay to allow the UPS to charge you can do that from the outlet sequencing page.
Please note that PowerChute cannot turn the server on once it is off as PowerChute like any other software application cannot run until the server has been powered on. If you want the servers to start automatically you must adjust the BIOS and set it to power on when AC has been restored.
For assistance with the BIOS you should consult with the server manufacture.
