I've followed the instructions - removed the front bezel and removed the 3 screws as shown in the manual but I still cannot pull the battery compartment out of the UPS. It seems loose - i can push it from side to side a little but almost like something in the back of it or somewhere holding it tight. any ideas? I really need to get this battery changed.

how old is the battery? i am wondering if it is a bit swollen or warped. usually what i'd start by doing is make sure you lift up a little and pull out incase there is a safety catch on the front and if that's not the case, make sure the battery is not allowed to charge at least for 3-4 hours and see if it comes out. if it has been unplugged for that amount of time and not charging and it still does not come out, i'd then start checking to see if it is in warranty or not to see what options we have.
