I am using my APC SmartUPS 1500 SUA1500RM2U unit on my home theater system due to its AVR and wattage rating.
Here is the issue: My Amp is very voltage sensitive. When large devices in my home come on, it creates a hiccup in the sound (sound goes away for a fraction of a second and then returns).
Someone suggested that I configure the unit to be more strict with its lower voltage limit.
I got Powerchute Business Edition, but it will NOT let me up the lower voltage any higher than 106!
I am going to be very sad if there is nothing that can be done about this.
Any suggestions?
PS - I have dealt with a variety of electrical solutions, now I am on this last one.

If your equipment is that sensitive, the Smart-UPS product line may not be good enough for you. While they are line-interactive meaning they will compensate for high and low line voltage, they will only do that when voltage drops below 106 or goes above 127.
You may need a double-conversion UPS, such as the Smart-UPS RT series. As you may know, these always power the load through the inverter so you always get perfectly stable voltage to the load regardless of line voltage.
Take care,
Stew

Stew - What would be a comparable RT model to the SmartUPS 1500 I have?
I don't mind if it is an older unit or not. In fact I would prefer an older unit that I can replace the batteries on etc.

The Smart-UPS RT 1500 looks to have similar VA ratings

I suppose ebay would be as good a place as any to look for used ones.

Stew
