Hi. I have a Smart-UPS SURTD3000/5000 XL that has a new battery and when the power goes out, it does not fail over to battery backup, even though it is fully charged. I have to hit the on switch to make the battery kick in. Is it a setting problem?

Hi Gino -
Is the fault LED lit on the UPS? When you cut the input power does the UPS just turn off completely or are any LED's lit? Are you saying that you just press the On button and then the UPS comes back up on battery?

Hi Liam.
Thanks for answering. There is no fault light whatsoever. The unit is fully charged and working. Once we lose power, the unit just shuts off, no battery power is provided and no lights on the unit whatsoever. Then I have to press the on button and it goes to battery power and runs on battery with no issues.

Hi Gino -
Is there any load attached to the UPS? Can you provide the logs from the Network management card?

There was a load of 7Amps on it when it first failed, so I tested it with no load on it, and it did the same thing. I do not have it connected to the management card currently I can try to get the logs when I can.
