Smart-UPS SUA1500 RMI 2U - AVR Boost

Are there some detailed specs about the AVR Boost mode? I like to know for how long an UPS could operate in this mode without any risk of failure.
Thanks a lot

there is no set time. it shouldnt be boosting OR trimming constantly. AVR boost or trim uses an internal transformer to the UPS and creates a lot of heat which will degrade the life of the internal components of the UPS, including the battery, if left on forever (perhaps feeding it lower voltage than the nominal voltage its designed for).

depending on the outside environment and other factors, this UPS could last for 10 years or 4 (purely hypothetical). i am not sure.

if you are constantly boosting or trimming, you need to look into finding out why its happening to avoid killing the UPS prematurely due to extra heat and strain on the UPS components.

hope this helps. let us know if you need anything else.

Hello, I have APC SmartUPS 1500 model DLA1500I and have problem with turning off the ups when it start regulating AC voltage (AVR Boost mode). When the power consumption at the moment is higher than usual UPS try to regulating low AC voltage, led of AVR Boost start ligthing and UPS after one second immediately turning of and all leds start blinking. What part or relay need change to UPS start working properly.
