BX1500M APC chirps every 4 or 5 seconds

My 2 and 1/2 year old APC BX1500M is 'chirping' (for the lack of better description) approximately every 4 to 5 seconds. It's extremely faint, but my sensitive hearing picks it up. Replacing the battery made no difference.

Running the power check on it (holding button 6 seconds) briefly stopped it, but it came right back after a moment after the check was completed. Indicators on the front of the unit are normal: inline power on, fully charged battery. Load is only 80-100w, unit says it can run approximately 90 minutes. Load is 7%.

Thoughts?
