Hi, After a prolonged outage where the battery most likely drained, the UPS did not turn back on when power was restored. The Outlet groups and the setting under Shutdown were both set to turn back on. Is this normal? Thanks!

The power was out for about 7 hours. The units are only a year old and the batteries seem to be in good shape.

Hi Paul -
There are several options to delay the unit turning back on until it has a certain amount of runtime. In addition, sometimes when power is first restored it is still outside the parameters for online operation. You did mention that this was an extended outage. How long are we talking about? If the UPS completely drained the batteries, or if the batteries were in poor health before the outage, the UPS may not behave as expected when power is restored.
Liam
