Smart-UPS SRT 10000 - The battery voltage exceeds the nominal battery voltage rating.

Hi all

We installed a new Smart-UPS SRT 10000 with full battery pack at the end of Feb, since the beginning of March its been giving an

The battery voltage exceeds the nominal battery voltage rating.

Alarm on a regular basis

Our local support company is saying its related to input power (we have had to put the building on temporary power since the middle of March)

Any Ideas what the issue is and how it can be resolved, I have seen other posts that indicate its a HW issue but our local supplier is reluctant to admit there is a fault.

Hi Craig -

Sorry for the delay. At this point it would probably be best if you contacted your local tech support so they can walk you through troubleshooting while you are with the UPS. They can then set up an RMA if needed.

Hi Craig -

Do I understand correctly that you have the UPS plus one external battery pack? What happens if you disconnect the external battery pack?

Can you attach the full logs? You can download them from your Network Management card. Go to the "About" tab, then "Support". You will see an option to generate then download the log files.

Thanks

Liam

We have a UPS with 10 battery packs for extended power for a 4.5kW load.

We have not unplugged the battery packs as the UPS is supporting our network and we are now on a temporary power supply to this building while building work takes place.

I will upload the logs.

Regards

C

The first instance is on the 3rd March.  We moved to a temporary supply on the 12/13th March.

So we just got a notification that battery packs 3,6 and 8 were disconnected and reconnected, no one was in the room so not sure what happened.

04/08/2018 14:43:45 Device UPS: Battery pack8 disconnected cleared.
04/08/2018 14:43:45 Device UPS: Battery pack6 disconnected cleared.
04/08/2018 14:43:45 Device UPS: Battery pack3 disconnected cleared.
04/08/2018 14:43:28 Device UPS: Battery pack 8 disconnected.
04/08/2018 14:43:28 Device UPS: Battery pack 6 disconnected.
04/08/2018 14:43:28 Device UPS: Battery pack 3 disconnected.

Very worried this UPS has a hardware issue and will not support our systems when the power goes off, but so far all the local vendor can say is bring it to the local service center which is 150km away...

Any update or ideas, not getting anywhere with the local vendor, still have the issue.

We expect a building power outage this week.
