Hi
We have APC Smart UPS 750XL. After blackout ups turn off windows host and in 5-8 minutes light bulbs on front panel began flashing in pairs from top to bottom.
What is it mean? I did not find anything in user manual about that.

Hi,
With an SUA Smart-UPS PowerChute will always command the UPS off. This is by design. The UPS will cut output and when AC returns the OS will restart automatically if configured to do so in the BIOS. If you switch to a SMT model Smart-UPS, you can configure the outlet group the router is plug into to remain on. Power will only be cycled to the outlet group the computer is configured with.
The option you have with the SUA is to uninstall PowerChute and install APCUPSD. When configuring APCUPSD do not configure Kill Power. By not configuring Kill Power the UPS will remain on. Note: if the UPS remains on and AC is restored prior to the battery draining and powering off the OS will remain off. The BIOS will not see the removal and restoration of AC and therefore not restart the OS.

Hi,
The LEDs flashing from top to bottom in pairs indicates the UPS has entered sleep mode. Sleep mode is when the UPS stop AC output but remains powered on internally. The UPS will remain in sleep mode for 9 to 10 minutes and then power off completely if AC has not return within that time.

Thank you for answer!
But I can't find how to disable this feature in Powerchute... UPS shutdown windows host, but router still working from UPS. When UPS entered sleep mode, it disables AC output, so router shutdown too. I want the router to continue to work, APC continued to supply electricity to it. How to do that?
