I don't know the proper name, but it's the two little white plastic gizmos that (theoretically) lock the front backing plate that holds the battery in place to the chassis . They tend to break. I want to buy some. Hard to look up when you don't know they name. Google just wants to show you replacement battery links. LOL.

Hi Sheila,
The panel fastener (or captive panel snap latch) component of the UPS is a 2 piece system that is comprised of the grommet and the plunger. APC doesn't stock panel fastener as spare parts, but DIY or hardware stores are likely to have these available.
