Smart UPS 7500 - appears dead after power outage
We had a prolonged power outage which caused the UPS to completely drain the batteries. Now, once power is restored the unit will not restart at all. Getting continual short beeps, (every 5 to 10 seconds), and at the same time get the X fault light along with the top two battery lights. I'm presuming this means an internal fault of some kind.
Tried the cold start procedure of turning off power supply, removing load and holding down power/test button - no long beep was heard - just the short beep with flashing fault lights

Hi Dave -
That would indicate a Logic Power Supply fault. If a brain dead is not resetting it, the UPS likely needs to be replaced. The 7500 was replaced by the 8000 pretty early on in the product run, so this was unit is likely pretty old and at the end of its typical life expectancy.
