Hello,
I have 2 Smart UPS 3000 Rackmount units that have suddenly become dead.
Both of them:
-Have new batteries
-Were working fine last week
-Have sensitivity led off
-Emits no sounds / beeps
-Have no leds lighting anywhere
Could someone help me find out what is causing this, I have tried changing the batteries, without success. Their incoming power lines are working fine..
Is there a fuse or something that I would need to change inside the case?
Thanks for help,
-fred

Yes, we have had a power outage last week, but since these 2 units were installed in the rack and did not have any servers connected to them, I didn't notice if they were still working after the outage.
They are on 2 different circuits.
I just tried to cold start both of them, didn't work.
Any other ideas?
Thanks for your help.

Did you hear any beeps at all?
You mentioned "trying to change the batteries" - what does that mean? Are you able to swap in some batteries from known working units?

No beeps at all, nothing.
I have a spare battery pack, I have put it inside one of the 2 failing units and it didn't change anything. Still no beeps / leds.
I could try batteries from known working units yes, that would take some time, but I know the spare batteries are working fine. I have checked their voltage with a voltmeter.

Presence of voltage does not necessarily guarantee a working battery.
Guess it might be time to look into a Trade-UPS then...

I will try pulling out batteries from another working smart-ups 3000 and install them inside a failing one.
I will let you know.
Thanks again.

Well, it does not work.
I have installed a 100% working battery pack pulled out from a working smart-ups 3000 rm and when installed inside one of the failing unit, still no leds / beeps / nothing.
Is it completely dead ? Should I just buy a new / refurbished one?..
Thanks

Probably. I would presume they took a surge or something during your storm and sacrificed themselves.
