Hello all -
I have one SU3000RM3U that is not behaving very well since it's move across town to our new office. When plugged into a power source, it provides power to all of my connected devices without a problem. There are no bad battery lights or site wiring faults. When the power plug is removed from the wall, or the master switch is placed in the off position on the back of the UPS, the power does not transfer to battery. Instead everything just turns off, even the front panel of the UPS turns off.
Luckily I caught this before we put it back into our production environment and it's brother is doing an OK job of picking up the load in the mean time.
The batteries inside are a little over a year old, so I'm guessing they should be good. I replaced them myself last time and have since tested the unit on a monthly basis, the last test being about three weeks ago.
What should I check? What could I look for to tell me why the UPS is not transferring to battery power? Should I test all of the batteries even though the bad battery light on the front of the UPS is not lit?
I would be very grateful for any insight you may be able to provide.
Best regards,
Brad

Have you monitored it with Powerchute software at all, run the self check from Powerchute?

you could also initiate a self test via the front panel by holding down the test button until the online LED starts blinking.
no matter how you try a self test, be aware that if it fails, it could drop the load as well so you dont want anything critical on there, which it seems you have removed critical items from it. also, can you check the battery voltage with a voltmeter or check via software?
