We have the above UPS with 2 external battery packs installed. Normally our run time is pretty close to 2 hours. We performed service on the unit on 7/17/11 and replaced all the batteries. Just ran a calibration test and our run-time has dropped to 43 minutes. and battery charge wont go above 96%.
Is there an easy way to tell if one of the battery packs has failed? Or do we need to remove and individually test each battery?
Thanks

First thing I would do is the disconnect and re connect the batteries(internal and external). It's possible it might not be seeing one or more of them. Disconnecting and reconnecting the battery connections is the best place to start. Did you replace the batteries with APC batteries or 3rd party batteries? If the above steps don't work, try running a self test and see if it passes. If it fails, you can then try to narrow down which battery it is by removing it from the picture(disconnecting one XL battery) and running another self test. Then repeat with the next battery and then with no external batteries.
