Hi,
I trying to setup 1000I smart ups with powerchute business single node but that simple is not possible...
When I start to use this ups first day I try to connect it with USB cable to my laptop and after powerchute install all start to work very fine, I can see all details about this ups in powerchute business but after few minutes ups without any reason go to battery power-back to 220v-battery-220v and after this communication with powerchute stop to work (no ups connected or something like this I can see status) also on ups battery status is on last led diode and that diode flashing (before few minutes all is at full)...
After some time and after many on/off, battery removed etc., all back to normal, again I can see status in powerchute, no more bad battery report but again after some time same problem with some stupid battery test (without reason) and again lost connection, again bad sound, again bad battery report...after this that night no more usb communication...
Next day, after night without batteries and without 220v, again all working fine but after few hours same problems and after that to this day USB communication and also serial communication stop to work, I can`t connect to ups, I try it with my laptop, my desktop pc etc. simple when I plug usb cable to pc I don`t have standard report in task bar....UPS working fine last few days...
What can be problem? How I can fix it? Exist some firmware fix? I can`t find some new firmware for this ups...
Thanks.
Sorry for my bad english...

Hmmm, I don`t know but I thinking that I have same problem in both cases but more when usb cable is connected or after cable is unplugged I`m sure in that ...
Now I can`t connect this ups to my pc/laptop with usb and serial cable...
I don`t have logs from powerchute....
How to fix this, how to enable usb connection again?
Thanks.

Hi,
First of all I owe an apology for bumping an old thread...
secondly, I have the same problem with the thread starter, except that my model is SURT1000XLI, I have tried your method and unfortunately the UPS and PowerChute Windows Agent always refuse to identify the COM port (I am using USB to Serial Port as COM port because my PC don't have it).
Is there any other possible solution for this?
Thanks in advance.

Using the serial cable as the connection install Powerchute Plus and tell me if i can find the ups

Apology that I forgot to mention that I am using windows 7 64-bit system, thus the installer can't be used..
Is there any installer for 64 bit system?
S/N is QS1123330371
