Smart UPS 1000 Not detected
I have an APC UPS Smart-1000 which was connected via a USB cable with an HP Proliant 350 server with Windows 2003 server, using the PowerChute Business Edition ver. 7.0. Everything was fine for almost 2 years now until we had to send it for replacement of the batteries. The local engineer also told me that they do a reset of the cpu regarding the batteries.
The problem now is that although nothing have changed on the server, the PowerChute does not detect the ups. I have removed and reinstall the PowerChute with no luck. Also when I try manually to detect the ups I am only prompted to select the network range while the ups is connected via USB.
On the reinstallation of the PowerChute agent I saw that it was detected but then no device was appeared in the Powerchute server or Console.

For starters, you should try a Brain-Dead of the UPS:
1. Turn off the load
2. Turn off the UPS and unplug the load
3. Disconnect the UPS from the wall
4. Depress the Off button for 4-6 seconds until you hear a click
5. Reconnect everything and reinstall PCBE.
