I have an old SU1400 that's worked for years and suddenly the overload light won't go off.
The battery isn't more than a year old.
I pressed the button on the back and it didn't change anything.
The load that was on it wasn't more than 300W, but did run 24/7.
Unplugging all loads doesn't clear it. Unplugging it for a few hours doesn't clear. Removing the battery doesn't clear it.
Anything I can do to salvage this? Internal fuse or something?

This could be an internal logic board issue or other internal fault. I would try turning off the UPS, unplugging it from the wall, and holding down the off button until you hear a faint click from inside the unit. This is called "brain-deading" the UPS and discharges the internal UPS power entirely.
If this does not fix the issue the only other solution would be to call 1-800-800-4272 to reach our sales line and pursue our Trade-UPS option to get a discount on a new UPS, or alternatively go through any sales path you feel comfortable with.
