I just deployed a new out of the box SMT1500 at one of my sites, and it is functioning as it should with one hitch. On the LCD and in PCBE 9.0.1, it is warning about a site wiring condition. The LCD on the front of the unit reads "Warning State: Site Wiring", and PCBE reads "Site Wiring Fault". The odd thing is, I've tested the outlet it was plugged into, and no such condition exists. I've since taken the unit off the floor, and tested it around other parts of the shop floor as well as the office, and still get the same messages. I have at least 12 other APC units here of varied models and none have this issue. Anyone ever seen this before?

i have seen this a few times. if you verify the conditions listed here, the next thing I would try is jiggling the input cord on the UPS. if the LED flickers or changes, there might be a loose ground connection on the UPS. if you are certain the issue appears to be isolated to the unit, versus any one outlet or room/site, then a warranty replacement might be required.
