Sensors that work with EPDU1232SX3620
Hello,
I've not been able to identify what sensors works with the "EPDU1232SX3620" Metered PDU. I bought an "AP9335T" but the temperature is not being picked up by the PDU.

Hi Patrik,
The full user manual doesn’t explicitly say the sensor must be a temperature & humidity sensor.
But, more than likely it does require the AP9335TH vs AP9335T.
If you have another temperature only AP9335T that you know works from something else. You can insert the AP9335T to see if anything is seen by the PDU.
If it doesn’t than you know the AP9335TH is required or the AP9520TH which has a LCD.
- As an aside you can try to reboot the NMC to see if it the AP9335T is detected afterwards. Cost you nothing but at least checks off the things you tried! ☝️
Let me know what you see and observe doing the above. 👍

Hi Teken,
The reboot did not do anything, I'll place an order for the AP9335TH and hope for the best.

Hej,
Installed the AP9335TH, rebooted. Sadly no temps or humidity, but at least there is something in the logs.

Hi Patric,
Did your PDU come with what looks like a small RJ45 connector?!? If so this device is called a (Terminator) and needs to be inserted.
This (terminator) is also seen and used in the NetBotz environmental units.
At this point I would encourage you to reach out to APC Technical Support to see if they can assist you especially if the unit is under warranty. They may be able to tell you how to force a scan and see if the unit is detecting the sensor correctly vs the PDU is just defective.
NOTE: If you haven’t tried already connect the sensor to a longer Ethernet cable with an adapter. Doing so will at least show this is / isn’t a resistance problem. Keep in mind I’m assuming the problem exists plugging in the sensor directly into the I/O port without ANY extended Ethernet cable.
Let me know what you see and observe and what APC Technical Support is able to do. 👍
