I want to use a simple signalling cable for connecting a UPS SURTD5000XLI to a server for initiating a shutdown in the event of a power failure.
According to the link http://www.apc.com/us/en/faqs/FA163632/ it is recommended to use the cable 940-0128D for the SURTD series. Does this apply also to my model which is a 5000 VA model?

Hi I have been using SURT10000XLI for a while now.
There is a small cable 2 pin cable going from APC 640-750L rev-12 to somewhere. Can you please tell me where the cable goes to? Also can you tell me the function of the cable ?
Appreciate your help
Thank you
