Connector Information?

I need this connector, attached are photos;

I have a SURT 2000XLI, its Serial Number is: JS0720021614, made in Bangalore, India. The two connectors are tied to two  ADDA fans, code number is AD0824MB-A70GL.

The connector dimensions are below, with some very small approximation of course, because as can be seen it is a very small connector;

In the attached picture, ( sorry for not being an expert photographer ) “front “ , ( the rectangle part ), the width is: 7 mm., height: 3 mm., depth ( from front rectangle to backwards ) : 13 mm. The height of the thicker part that can be seen in the “ main “ picture at the back is 6.5 mm.

On the connector, there is an unreadable symbol and beside it, P57 is written, and A-MP is written too.

I wanted to change the fans since a long time, because even only after one year of usage they were very noisy. I used lubrication for a long time, but I think the problem is that these fans are not very well lubricated from the beginning, after production, at the beginning. Or maybe as in another subject Battman has told, at one point of usage even lubricating the fan makes no difference at all, because it collects dust inevitably. Anyway, I want to change the fans. ( They are stil working noisily, but I bought the same fans as new replacement )

Since a long time, I could not find the fans anywhere, except the ADDA’s own web site? Somehow in the last 5-6 months they were on sale in some computer stores and I could at last buy them. ( at last they can be found in many computer stores nowadays ). And a similar problem with the connector! I have searched nearly everywhere in the internet since one month but I could not find these connectors anywhere. I live in the second biggest city of Turkey, but no hope here too, nobody has seen such a connector, I have asked many electronics shops.

I need clear descriptions of these connectors, with technical details if possible. And anyone who can give me advice about where they can be found or web site addresses where I can buy them, will be much appreciated. I do not want to weld the old connectors to a new fan!

I know very well the APC company behaviour about such things. But this is only a very simple connector!smile

Glad you were able to get the fans at least.  Good luck on your quest for connectors!

Hello Murattoh.  I am not confident that you would be able to purchase the connectors (and contacts) themselves.  My advice would be to purchase fans of equivalent size, voltage and air flow, and splice the old connector onto the new fan using standard techniques for soldering and shink tubing or taping of the exposed leads.  Make sure the fans you purchase are known to be quiet and ones that have high quality ball bearings or equivalent.  Hope this helps!

Hi Blue Sky,

Thank you for your reply. I could at last buy the same fans that were actually on the UPS itself, no problem with it. I had little choice because these fans are already good fans in their class, except for the lubrication after the production issue, that I will solve as soon as I find the connectors I will lubricate them very well from the beginning. I will keep your advices as only a last choice if I can not find the connectors,

Problem is I do not know where to start with the connectors? There are hundreds of thousands of them, and I do not know the name of the producer company, or how the connector is called, ( for example fan to mainboard connector etc. or not? ) technical details. If I can find the necessary names and guided a little bit, I will find them where ever they are hidden!( I hopesmile )
