Hello,
I have a customer that has purchased many of these and the units are now showing inverter faults on about half of them. Can you explain to me what all this means. I know that these are still under warranty, but would like to give him some clarification on these. I appreciate any help in advance! Thanks!

Hi Erin,
For some background, the inverter converts DC to AC power. An Inverter Fault indicates a possible hardware failure within the UPS. This is not a common failure mode. It can be related to a component failure on the UPS itself, or possibly be related to the installation environment or load that is attached. It is very unusual to see multiple failures of this type. I'd suggest that someone that has all of the site information (where these are located physically), configuration (plugged in, hardwired, what is the attached load, etc), and environmental information (ambient temperature), contact the technical support team so they could see if they can figure out what is leading to the faults. It'd be helpful to be near the units too incase any other questions come up.

You're very welcome. I know in larger units, I've seen this when they've been hardwired backwards (input from the site to the output feed and vice versa).
