Hi,
the battery level of my SURT8000XLI drops to 60% during selftest, so I'd guess they are going away.
I know the batteries inside the pack are 12V 5Ah VRLA (8 battery each pack).
Someone can tell me which battery connectors should I choose: batteries contained in the pack (I can't shutdown the UPS for removing and opening the packs) have faston F1 or faston F2 connectors?
Thanks a lot. 🙂

Yes indeed, that was the reason why I want to shut the UPS down. And I fear for battery backup lack in the meantime 🙂

these batteries are not designed to be field replaceable - it is intended to just purchase the correct number of RBC44 when you are ready to replace your batteries.

as shown your UPS would require (2) RBC44. we provide these in modules so you don't need to worry about what you're asking.

Hi, thanks for the reply.
Since the UPS is not under warranty anymore and in the past I received new original battery packs partially sulfated, I would prefer to buy, test, and change the batteries by myself in this case. Rebuild the battery pack is quite simple.
I apologize if could not write the question here. 🙂

no, its OK. you can ask whatever you like. was just sharing what i know and i understand we also have customers that do what you do as well. and its not under warranty, so you can surely do whatever you'd like. i just know that we cant provide any of that information out directly.
it isnt possible to just swap out the batteries in the module itself?

If I understand correctly what you mean in the last phrase (I'm not native english), yes, but I have to put offline the UPS to extract packs and then choose and buy batteries with the right connector.
If I would succeed in getting the connector information, I will shutdown the unit only for battery swapping.
Thanks anyway 🙂

the batteries in the UPS should be hot swappable - meaning you could swap them while the UPS is online. you'd have no battery back up at that time though - is that why you want to shut the UPS down?
