I was hoping someone might be able to help with this issue. We just received a new SURT8000LXI, and when we connected to the main power (no load), we immediately got the red led error and the battery indicators.

Can anyone explain what the cause/ solution might be for this?
TIA

Hi Peter,
That LED combination indicates the UPS is experiencing a Bypass Relay alert. Can you check the bypass switch on the rear panel of the UPS to see if the unit wasn't manually switched into bypass for any reason? If the bypass switch is in Normal position, another thing to try is cold starting the UPS (disconnect AC mains input and press and hold the I(Test) button to power up the UPS and connected equipment. The UPS will emit two beeps. During the second beep, release the button). Does the UPS exhibit the same symptoms and LED combination as before? Thanks.
