Hi,
we have been recommended the SURT10000XLI by a supplier. The thing is, we have 18A free in our server room and the kit we want only needs 15A. Is this UPS ok for us to use in these circumstances? I've read that the SURT10000XLI requires 63A to recharge but I think that is wrong as our whole lab area only uses 30A and that has $10,000,000 worth of comms equipment in it.
Can someone please advise?

..are you actually plugging in 10000kVA worth of load..
i think you meant 10kVA or 10000VA .... as 10000kVA will be 10MVA ... 😉

this is a 10000VA UPS. you need to hardwire the unit to a system that can support up to 10kva worth of load to adhere to your local code most likely. i think the 63A is most likely the breaker requirement or the maximum load the UPS can draw and thus your electrical panel needs to be rated accordingly.
are you actually plugging in 10000kVA worth of load or why was this unit suggested? the max power of the battery charger is 869 watts but i am not sure its relevant for the way you posed your question.
