Hi,
Is there any software to monitor an APC 2200 that doesn't have a Network Management Card but has a serial port? I currently have a server connected to the UPS via a serial cable. I was wondering if there was something I could install on the server to monitor the UPS.
Anything?
Thanks!

you can use powerchute plus if it is supported on your OS but the software is old and we can only support it to a certain extent because of that.

hi..yes, you'd need to look at PowerChute Business Edition. you can start here and chose Software Upgrades - PowerChute Business Edition and then select submit. It will ask you to choose the software for your OS. If you only have this one device, I recommend just installing the "Agent" portion which you can access afterwards via a web browser on the client or remotely from another machine via IP.
this gives you monitoring capability, email, and graceful shutdown.
hope that helps.
