We have to ship the SUA3000XL with external batteries in a rack we build.
1. Is it required to disconnect the batteries as per the manual?
2. Can we put it in brain-dead mode to disconnect the batteries from the circuitry in lieu of physically disconnecting the batteries?
3. If batteries need to be disconnected, for the external batteries can we just disconnect the connection to the UPS?
4. Can you tell me the DOT and IATA regulations which govern the battery shipments?
Thanks,
Steve

Please disregard this post. We plan to disconnect the front batteries to break the circuit.
