SU5000VA RM
I have inherited a 5000VA APC UPS. This UPS is 208VA output. I'd like to use this at my residence, but not sure if it is feasible.
Conceptually I'd like to do the following:
Have several dedicated outlets througout the house that are wired into a UPS for clean protected power. These designated outlets would be for sensitive equipment (computers, TVs, stereo equipment etc)
I already have these outlets wired to the basement, but they are not terminated to anything. I have this UPS, but of course 208VA output is no good for this residential use.
Is there a way you can divide the output (split phases or something?) or hardwire the output as the input into a sub-panel for these various dedicated 120V circuits in my house, or would I have to purchase a step-down transformer for it (and would that be too power inefficient to use at home?)
Basically wondering if the SU5000VA UPS is usable in this sort of application with some modifications, or is it not a good fit for what I'm trying to do?

There's no way to split phases off the output of an SU5000 208v unit. These phases are not meant to be split apart in a regular, neutral referenced fashion due to the nature of 208v input/out. You could use a stepdown xfmr for this purpose, which would be more investment on your part but could be feasibly used for some 120v output. There would be some difficulty with cable lengths but this would be up to you to resolve since APC has no hardwire-supported options for a configuration like this.
