SRV2KI Linux management

Hello! I've just purchased a SRV2KI APC UPS and I've been trying to connect to it using Linux (apcupsd and nut) to no avail.

The UPS is not being recognised as such, but it does show up in the lsusb list as "Exar Corp. XR21V1410 USB-UART IC", and to my knowledge, that's a serial interface.

Is there an special driver for this particular UPS? A proprietary software maybe?

Hope you can help me, it has been a long week trying to connect to this UPS.

I am not sure if you were able to resolve the issue, but just in case it is still pending I would like to let you know that we do not support your current configuration.  If you are going to use APCUPSd, it would be best to reach out to their support page - http://www.apcupsd.org/wordpress/email-lists/.
