Can anyone confirm that the metal battery cages for the SMX2000 (or SMX3000) are all interchangeable with the battery cages that slide into the extended run battery units (SMX120RMBP2U).

The UPSs are all the "slim" RM2U (HV and LV) versions that have the black Anderson connector in the front of the battery cages. They are the 3" height style of battery cages. It appears from your descriptions that the battery cages in the extended run units that match these types of SMXs somehow connect in the back of the unit as they do not have the Andersons in the front? Just guessing as I don't have one of the extended units (SMX120RMBP2U) and that was why I was asking - I can get a extended run battery cage, but I want to use it in one of my SMX UPSs. I don't have any double height units - so no conflicts there.
Thank you for your information - If I'm interpreting properly, the extended run battery cages are not usable in the SMX3000RMLV2U (as an example).

Anyone at APC/Schneider can confirm that these battery cages are all identical, or at least compatible??
Thanks

Hi,
It would be helpful to know the exact model of the SMX.
The SMX120RMBP2U (2U Battery) uses the APCRBC118 and the 2U versions of the SMX use the APCRBC117.
The SMX120BP (The 2U battery) and the 4U versions of the SMX (IE: SMX2200HV, SMX3000HV etc) all use the APCRBC143.
