SMT3000 with OS X Lion / Question

I'm finally making the switch over from PC to Macs. I'd like to use an SMT3000 with my new system, which will be running on OS X Lion.

Will I find any incompatibility issues with this particular UPS and OS? Is there current Mac software for this system to perform optimally?

We have a software called Powerchute Network Shutdown that works with MAC OS X. The below link shows the compatibility chart which does show Mac OS X 10.7. This software requires a Network Management card. You would need either an ap9630 or ap9631 at an extra cost If you didn't want to purchase additional hardware, you would need to use the software built into Mac OS as we don't have a software for USB or serial for MAC OS. I also included a link to the Mac OS native UPS support. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
