Hello,
I just picked up a used SMT1500 and a management card for it. Since it's a used unit, it has some logs going back to the original owners that I want to clear. Namely, the Energy Usage logs.
I can't seem to find any way to reset the energy usage back to 0 for my time as the new owner. I've tried looking up some reset procedures, but I can't seem to find anything specific to this.
Any suggestions? Thank you.
Edit: A bit more info.

Hmm... I have the similar... somehow... problem: Got a used SMT1500RMI2U with AP9630 and just updated them to FW 09.4(ID18) (UPS) and v6.4.6 (NMC). With FW 5.1somewhat on the NMC i was able to reset the energy usage counter via network, but with Version 6.4.6 there is no way to do this. Nevertheless it can be resetted via front panel, but i'm too lazy to go to the server room in the basement - it would be far more convenient to do this via network.
Any solutions for my problem?
Regards,
Hendrik

Hello Greg,
Thank you for your post and for using APC.
Usingn the UPS LCD screen, there is an option in the Configuration called "Reset Energy Meter". You might have to set the menu type to "Advanced".
As far as the NMC, you can issue a "format" command which will reset everything to factory defaults, including logs, tcpip settings, etc.
Thanks,
Shanon

Well, I tried to reset the power meter via the front panel, but that didn't clear it all.
I may have to try the format command at some point.

I was able to reset the Energy Meter via the front panel after getting into Advanced mode this weekend.
