Hi, for interfacing the SMT1000I on the LAN is necessary the the AP9630 board or superior.

The board is expensive for my budget (home LAN), so is possible managing the UPS on the LAN with other board?

If yes, such boards is compatible?

The AP930 and up are all we have. You can get them a little cheaper on ebay. If you're willing to connect your UPS to a computer on the LAN, you can use a third party software called APCUPSD. See: http://www.apcupsd.com/

You can also look for the AP9631. It is the same as the AP9630 but has 2 RJ connectors for external probes.

If you are buying used, make sure the unit comes with (or that you buy separately) the serial cable. It is an oddball 2.5mm stereo plug on the card end and a regular 9-pin serial on the computer end. You should be able to reset the card and have it get a network address from your router, but having the serial cable is useful in case something goes wrong.
