I've already done a replacement of a battery in a 1400 today, however moving onto my second UPS to replace the battery I noticed that the sticker used to help pull the battery out has been ripped off. The battery moves around in its "shell", but hardly moves forward.
I've got the case off and have tried pushing the battery from the back (Using my fingers and a screwdriver) but it still doesn't seem to want to move more than a few cm. From what I can see I can't get any closer to the battery short of ripping something off and ruining the whole device.
Just wondering if there's anything else to do that maybe I haven't tried.

Hmm..
is this a tower or rackmount 1400?
are you positive that the battery isnt moving because the battery is a little bit swollen?
i dont have one of these right in front of me but you cant grab the leads/connectors on the batteries and pull it out by those?
i might be wrong on tha (connectors/leads)t but that is all i got.
