Replaced SURT8000RMXL with SURT8000XLI, but now PDU units have wrong plugs.

We have 3 7811 PDU's that have the L6-30P plugs that were apparently plugged into the old UPS (RMXL), and now we have an XLI unit that only has C-19 plugs. My question is can we just get adapters for the PDU's as long as the total amperage is kept below the XLI's 16A rating. And do you make those adapters.

Nobody remembers how the PDU units were hooked up before but the plan is to plug all of them into the UPS.

If you can't find a pre-made cable, you can always resort to a custom config from somewhere like this:

We don't make adapters like this.

Here is our general policy on adapters and changing plugs on Rack PDUs. Typically, it is OK as long as you maintain the rating but you'd have to make sure you adhere to any national or local codes, depending on your area. And overall, the same policy applies on most products whether a PDU, ATS, UPS, etc.

So this means we cannot use these PDU's with this UPS, since the highest rated plug is 16A, and the rating on the PDU plugs are 30A. So our best option is to return the XLI model and get the proper replacement (RMXL) with the 30A plugs?

Since all of the C19 receptacles are individually protected, I don't see a problem. It is always possible to overload a PDU that doesn't have an over-current device built in.  Since the supply is rated lower that what the PDU can handle, you should be on firm footing.  Just go to Home Depot, and buy a couple of L6-30R cord receptacles.  If the (4) "jumpers" that came with the unit were C19 to C20 you should have everything you need.  Cut off the C19 end and replace it with the L6-30R.  Not sure finding a C20 to install on the PDU cord would be quite that easy.
