Hello,
I have a quick question. Do I have to power down the UPS to install another one of the battery frames to another battery frame, or can I just connect it while the UPS is operational?

Please disregard Avinos response. You have to place the UPS into either external maintenance bypass and shut down the UPS or shut down the UPS and power down your load if you have no bypass cabinet to install another XR battery frame. When you are connecting the DC +/- and CT the UPS has to be off or you WILL GET SHOCKED because the DC bus is engergized while the UPS is on. Dont forget to hook up the XR communication daisy chain and ground cable as well.
If you are unsure about what to do please call into your local tech support office for help on how to power down your UPS or place it into maintenance bypass.
