Can you provide a version of PowerChute for Synology DSM operating system?
The reason is that the data cable must be connected to my Synology NAS, not to my PC, so I have no way to run PowerChute, unless you provide a .spk package for Synology DSM.
Actually, several vendors already provide apps for Synology DSM. The SDK can be found here

Hi Phil, I don’t know if you can DM on this forum but I’d be really interested to know more about potential built-in & open source options for getting my UPS to talk to my Synology NAS to avoid improper shut downs the whole time.
Many thanks,
Tristan.

Hi,
We do not offer a version of PowerChute for Synology DMS at this time. Your requst has been passed to product management for review and addition to future release. In the mean time PowerChute Business Edition and PowerChute Network shutdown offer the ability to run command files / scripts. You can install PowerChue on a compatible OS, write a command file / script that PowerChute will run that can inform the Synology system to power down.

Bill, that's nice, but I typically turn my PC off at night, and my PC goes to sleep after 20 minutes of inactivity, for energy savings purpose. The only piece of harware that is constantly powered 24/7 is my NAS. So, there is no other alternative for me than having PowerChute or equivalent for Synology DSM.

There are both built-in and open-source solutions that can shutdown APC units connected to a Synology NAS.
I don't know what the posting policy is here re: 3rd-party vendors so I will leave it at that.
You may want to check the Synology forums. Some people seem to have had UPS communications issues with the very latest Synology firmware.

Hi Ppac_apc,
I have the same problem: "I usually turn off my PC at night and it goes to sleep mode after 20 minutes of inactivity, for power saving reasons. The only hardware component that is constantly powered 24/7 is mine NAS. So, for me there is no alternative but to have PowerChute or equivalent for Synology DSM."
Maybe you can power on a virtual machine on Synology NAS with PowerChute - this workaround means using/wasting some NAS functionality for the virtual machine, but it might be a solution waiting for PowerChute for DSM.
