PowerChute PE is not saving energy cost.
Running PCPE 3.0.2. I enter a new value for the energy cost and it is good until the next time I boot Windows. Then it's back to the default ($.10). Shouldn't it be saved? Can someone tell me where it would be saved?
Thanks.

I ended up turning off the Data Service. When I looked at the EnergyLog.mdb contents, it looked like it was adding entries in the CurrentEnergyUsage table at a very high frequency... far more than I cared for, especially since I'm using an SSD for the C: drive. The EnergyUsageLog (one entry per day), looks OK.
I find there are three files that are stored in the Program Files folder which should really be located in the ProgramData folder (or AppData). One of them, eventlog.dat, can be moved to another location via the PCPE UI, but the other two, PCPELog.txt and EnergyLog.mdb, cannot be moved. And unfortunately, eventlog.dat can't be read due to unknown format.
Anyway, my new unit is completely failing to properly power the controlled outlets when the Energy Management feature is enabled (always powered off, regardless of conditions), so APC is sending me a new unit. When that arrives, I'll uninstall PCPE and then reinstall, to the 😧 drive. Unless I go with APCUPSD instead.

Hello,
Yes, this should be saved in the Energylog file. I suspect that there is a corruption on the DB.
I replicated the issue you are seeing by corrupting the DB. To fix the issue I uninstalled and then reinstalled PCPE.
Let me know if this fixes your issue.
Regards,
B
