I have installed PCNS on 3 MS 2008r2 servers with no problem. On the last two servers, the PowerChute Network Shutdown service doesn't install. These two servers do have IIS installed, running local web sites. I've also tried the silent install and I don't get any errors.
Help!!

What is the exact error message that you were getting? PowerChute Network Shutdown also has a web service once installed, have you tried changing the HTTP port settings on both the NMC and PCNS? By default these 2 communicates on HTTP port 80.

Thanks for your reply. When installing PCNS on these servers, I don't get any error messages. When selecting Open PCNS User Interface, i get , This page can't be displayed from IE. I don't think the Web Services are installing, as the PowerChute Network Shutdown is missing from Services on these servers.

Have you tried stopping the IIS and then installing PCNS? Have you also tried restarting the machines?

Thanks for getting back to Jon P. The problem is now fixed. I had to uninstall version 7 of Java and use the version that came with the PCNS install.
Cheers
Paul
