PowerChute Network Shutdown on ESX 3.5
Hallo all,
1st of all I want to apologize for my bad english.
Now to my "problem". I just want to know if it is possible if a ESX Server is plugged in the UPS and it came to an outage that the VM-Clients which are runing on the ESX will also shutdown after a few minutes, for example?
Dont know if it is a strange question but I didnt find really a answer 🙂

This sort of solution would require a UPS capable of using a Network Management Card (AP9630/31 or AP9618), and it would also require the purchase of PowerChute Network Shutdown for VMWare ESX. You can use the NMC and software to shut down the VMWare ESX host during a power outage, and the host in turn will be responsible for the shutting down of the virtual OS'.
