Power returns and server reboots!
Sorry, I just realised I posted this in the wrong forum. I've posted in the right forum now but don't see how to delete this message.... 😞
Hi there,
I've just recently got a Back-UPS RS 1200 to protect my home server. However, I noticed that if the power has been off for a few minutes (and the battery has obviously kicked in), when the power returns, the server reboots as if it's just had it's power pulled and replaced.
Does this sound as though my server has an overly sensitive power supply or does it sound as though I've got a faulty UPS? The problem is OS independent as it happens even if I just leave the server at the BIOS screen.
It just doesn't sound right to me and I never had this problem with my old CS 350.
