i have apc sua750i ups and try to install Powerchute Business 8.0.1 on Windows 7 Ultimate x64. The program can't installed because it say that the OS is not supported. I've already tried with compatibility mode & run as admin but it still no go.
Can anyone help me ?

Are you sure you downloaded the correct version for your OS? I would try downloading it again... Maybe the installation file got corrupt or something.

Hi Syalala,
Did you get the PCBE installer from the CD or APC website? Upon checking our [PCBE Compatibility Chart|http://www.apcmedia.com/salestools/ASTE-6Z5QEV_R19_EN.pdf] it states the supported versions of Windows 7 (32 and 64-bit) but there is a note on the second page. Although you are installing it on 64-bit you might still want to try it.
Also do you have any other PCs running Win 7 64-bit, you might wanted to try installing it on those systems.

Could you please let us know the serial cable part number that is connected between the UPS and Computer? If possible, post the screen shot of the error please.

i tried PCBE from the included CD & download from the web (https://www.apc.com/tools/download/software_comp.cfm?sw_sku=SFPCBE801&id=125&swfam=125##) but it's still the same error, the program says that it cannot be installed on the current OS.
When I download from the web, the text on the page says "PowerChute Business Edition v8.0.1 for Windows Vista/2008/2003/XP/2000". Is that the correct version for my OS ? why doesn't windows 7 not listed in the text ? (i'm using 7 Ultimate x64 build 7600) and i've tried to choose to download for another version of windows (2000, xp, vista, 2008) but i think the file link is the same as above.

problem solved. the program failed to install because i set locale setting to japanese, when i set it to english the program installed without any problem.
