I know this is strange, but can anyone confirm the exact button sequence on the SMT1500RM2U to power off the device? I would venture to guess that it is the same on the tower model as well.
Thanks

Thank you--just what I too wanted to know. I turn my SMT1500 off every night and when I leave home, so all my AC adapters for phone, external disk drives, etc. (and of course my computer and monitor) are unpowered and don't fail and cause a fire during the night or when I am not at home. It's virtually impossible to buy trustworthy AC adapters for any small electronic devices. Even big brand name laptop manufacturers have had their AC adapters melt down. Not enough quality control.
I had been going through the half dozen button pushes to get to the shut-down-now menu entry.
