I have two different sites where APC Modular Power Distribution Units are Installed.
I am trying to read value of KW on SNMP protocol using OID .1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.22.4.3.1.0
I am getting value of KW on first site but at the other site using same procedure i am not getting data.
Any Idea why?

Hi Genjua,
To clarify on #1, the model in the screenshot is the model of the network management module (unfortunately). Do you have any idea of the model/SKU of the actual PDPM - something like "PDPM277H" or "PDPM144F" perhaps?
Do other SNMP OIDs respond on the unit in Lahore? And is it just this specific value that won't respond? Or do NO SNMP OIDs work, like if you do an SNMP walk for example?

Hi Genjua,
Sorry, I missed your previous message from a few weeks ago. I wish you a happy holidays too!
There is no way to restrict access to certain OIDs - you can only enable/disable SNMP or restrict access to ALL SNMP polling to certain IP addresses/IP ranges/hostnames. Have you compared the configuration between the units in regards to SNMP?
This is hard to answer 100% accurately without being able to see the problem and troubleshoot it live.
You can extract the config.ini from each PDPM and I can look at the SNMP configuration if you want.

What model of PDPM is this? What version of firmware is on it?
What specific response do you get to the power OID - is it 0, -1, or a timeout? I guess my question is, have you ruled out a general SNMP response problem vs. a problem with the device's configuration, set up, and specific value being missing for some reason.
I'd also see if this specific value is reporting correctly in the PDPM's web interface to compare.

Good Day Angela,
Thanks much for your time. Please find the answer of your queries below:
See attached screen shots, Let me know if you need any further information on this point.
2. What specific response do you get to the power OID - is it 0, -1, or a timeout?
I am getting Bad Response timeout, Please see attached screen shots, PDU Islamabad is working fine and showing data, whereas PDU lahore is not showing data.
3. 'd also see if this specific value is reporting correctly in the PDPM's web interface to compare.

Good Day Angela, The model number is PDPM277H.
Yes, I am getting data from MIB Browser Walk Operation, But when i use OPC Server to fetch data i do not get all the data i get some current values and the rest KW KWH are BAD , Timeout.
It Seems that there is a firmware issue.....? What Do You Say?

Hi Genjua,
if MIB browser works and OPC server does not, I would not guess a problem with firmware but rather OPC? Why do you suggest it is firmware based on OPC not working and MIB browser working? Because the other unit works fine? Is it possible there is a configuration problem for this IP address/agent in OPC?
Also FYI, I will be away this week due to US Thanksgiving holiday break. If you need urgent support on this matter, I suggest to contact your local technical support office. Otherwise, I will get back to you as soon as I am able and back from holiday.

Good Day Angela,
My Point is same OPC Server with Same Configuration on the other site is working perfectly fine, That means something is wrong in PDU Configuration or Firmware.
I wish you a very happy holidays.

Angela Please confirm that is there is any way in PDPM configuration that someone use it to restrict data to share over SNMP? for example they share PDPM Current Values Over SNMP and restrict KW & KWH Values Over SNMP?
